FAQ

Do you shoot jewelry?

This is a pretty common question. Yes, we do shoot jewelry in a minimally styled way. Jewelry can be difficult to shoot and requires creative lighting, so we have to charge a bit more for it. If yours is a jewelry job, please fill our our form indicating jewelry as the product and we'll get more spedifics from you before delivering a quote. Usually, it's around $100/image.

Can we get clipping paths, silos, or knock-outs delivered?

Yes. We now offer clipping path services for an additional fee. Unless other arrangements are specified by the client, the files will be delivered in a layered PSD file with the clipped object over a white layer. This makes it easier for your designer to drop the object into their layout. If you don't know what a clipping path is, ask your graphic designer if they want it, then let us know.

How do we get our products to you and back to us?

Generally clients ship their products via their favorite carrier (usually FedEx or UPS).  Clients often have billing account numbers that allow easy return shipment after the shoot is done.  If you don’t have a shipping account to bill the charges to, we can bill you on our invoice for any return shipping due.  Your products will be shipped back to you after you acknowledge receipt of satisfactory images.  Some clients opt to let us keep products that aren’t worth shipping back, and that’s fine too.  Las Vegas area clients can arrange for pickup/drop-off service for a $20 charge.

If you ship your products to us, please insure your package through your carrier.  If your products are lost, damaged, stolen, or fall victim to some other shipping tragedy, Radiant Photography, Inc will not be held responsible.  Please, please, please insure and track your goods.  Also, let us know the value of the products so we can ensure proper insurance coverage for their return trip home.

What’s your average turnaround time?

Generally we allow about four days for shooting, retouching, and digital delivery of images.  Rush jobs are available at a higher cost, however.   For rush, please indicate “Rush Job” on the submission form

What size images do we get and how do you deliver them?

File sizes will vary depending on product size, lens selection, cropping during retouching, etc, but we deliver the highest resolution image we can get you.  Generally, we average about 12mb images, in JPEG format, in RGB color-space.  We can also convert the images to web-ready sizes of your specification for $30.

In the interest of quick delivery, we prefer to compress all the images into a ZIP file and email you a link where you can download the file, free of charge.  Some product photography companies burn a CD which is included with the return shipment of your products.  We think that takes too long.  If you need a CD, you can burn one on your own from the digital files you download from us.  If computers just aren’t your thing, and you really need us to burn a CD or DVD to include in your return shipment, we can do that for $10.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept MasterCard, Visa, and Discover. (No American Express at this time, sorry). We also accept payment through PayPal.

What rights are purchased with our images?

To make things as easy as possible for our clients, we include unlimited, non-exclusive, usage rights leases for all images delivered.  Technically, Radiant Photography, Inc maintains copyright, but you’re free to use the images for whatever purpose you please, as long as you desire, without further rights leases.  We maintain copyright mainly for the purpose of being able to use the image for self-promotion, however, we do reserve the right to resell, gift, or reuse the image. Your usage rights are contingent upon payment of your invoice. Any use prior to full payment constitutes copyright infringement.

What kind of guarantee do you offer?  Will you reshoot if I’m unhappy with the initial images?

Between our contact form and follow up emails & phone calls, we do a pretty good job of finding out what angles, propping, and such you're looking for in your product shot. We also keep the lighting pretty consistent throughout our images, so you know what you’ll be getting.

That said, we want you to be happy with your images and we’ll do what we can to make sure you’re satisfied.  If we we are in error, we certainly offer a one-time reshoot.   Anything after that reshoot will be billed.  Reshoots are handled on a case-by-case basis, and we’ll make every effort to make sure you’re satisfied.

Get started on an estimate by filling in our Estimate form here.
We'll contact you shortly after to nail down the specifics of your shoot.
